Version 2026-10-10. GardenAdvisor is operated from Massachusetts.

We collect account identifiers (username, email, phone), garden ZIP and optional address, plant saves and reservations, partner applications, and cookie/analytics consent timestamps on your profile.

Cookies: We load Google Analytics 4 on all gardenadvisor.com URLs. For signed-in sessions we send Google an opaque account id, not your email, name, phone, ZIP, or garden address. Google acts as a processor under Google’s policies. We use this so signed-in sessions can be analyzed as one user in Google Analytics reports. The CDN may set an approximate location cookie (ga_approx_zip) from your IP so the homepage can show local hardiness zone and season growing degree days; that cookie is independent of the Accept button on the cookie notice. You can dismiss the notice and keep using the site without Accept.

SMS is used for US mobile verification, SMS login, and optional garden alerts during waking hours when a timezone is known. Message and data rates may apply. Weather data comes from public and licensed weather sources tied to your ZIP. Maps requests go to Google.
